How it All Began

Thread Shores became a registered business in 2026, but the idea was born much earlier than that. back in 2022 we started with only a small single needle Brother SE600 Sewing Machine with embroidery features and capability. Our first embroidered products were aprons that we would sell to family members and friends. They weren't perfect and nowhere as near the products that we produce today but they were what got us to this point. 

As time passed, I lost motivation to continue and with a part-time internship and a senior capstone project to finish, the machine collected dust. However, several months after I had graduated college, my mother had pulled the trigger on a purchase for a 7-needle single head embroidery machine that came as part of a business starter pack online. My mother never actually learned to use the machine but as someone who loves to tinker and create things as well as generate some money for my mother, I decided to put it to use. That December we embroidered so many towels and blankets for our friends and family and soon the word spread about our work. 

The name Thread Shores came in the summer of July 2023, and it wasn't until 2025 when I moved out after getting married to my beautiful wife Debany, that things really started to pick up. I came up with this name because I wanted our business to be the equivalent of a sailor coming across land and seeing the shore as the final destination. That's what I wanted it to be the final destination for people that have been searching for embroidered products for a long time. Today we have yet another machine that we added to the collection. A Ricoma EM-1010 plus much more than we had before, and it was all because we abided with some core values.
